Karl Stewart is a mining engineer. He was the group consultant to CRA, Ltd. where he led the development of implementation and system theories to allow managers to bring about positive organizational change.

Karl later successfully applied this work as managing director of Comalco Smelting. Prior to these activities he was the site manager at Weipa Bauxite mine and Vice President of Human Resources of Comalco, Ltd.
